Celebrating Leo’s Retirement

We recently gathered at the Waterside Restaurant in Monton to celebrate Leo and mark his retirement after many years of dedicated service as our Children and Youth Development Officer across the Synod.

It was a wonderful opportunity to say thank you for all that Leo has given over the years, and to celebrate the difference he has made to so many people and churches across the Synod.  Leo will be sorely missed by colleagues, churches and all those who have had the pleasure of working with him.

Thanks to the generous donations from churches, we were delighted to present Leo with a monetary gift, along with some of his favourite beer – and a blow-up zimmer frame - which we hope Leo will be able to put to good use as he enjoys a slower pace of life!

It was a lovely occasion filled with good food, laughter and plenty of memories.  We hope we gave Leo the send-off he so richly deserves and wish him every happiness for the next chapter of his life.

Thank you, Leo, for your many years of hard work, commitment and service.  You will be greatly missed, but we hope retirement brings you plenty of time to relax, enjoy yourself and make the most of what lies ahead.
