Celebrating 150 Years of Barrow URC Primary School
What an incredible day celebrating 150 years of Barrow.
Our celebrations began with a special worship led by Rev Daleen and Rev Mike, bringing our whole school community together to reflect on Barrow’s wonderful history and look forward to the future. Every child also received a beautiful Prayer Bear as a special gift.
Then it was time for BARROWFEST! The children enjoyed a packed day of activities, including dance workshops, crafts, a treasure hunt and Wild Worship with Jake, Dannie and Rev Daleen. We also took a trip Down Memory Lane, hearing wonderful stories and memories from some of our former pupils.
Adding to the celebrations, each year group dressed up to represent a different era from Barrow’s 150-year history, bringing the past to life in the most colourful way!
We finished the day with our Enterprise Market, where the children proudly sold their own creations and products, raising money and celebrating the big 1-5-0!
It was a joyful day full of memories, laughter, creativity, faith and community, celebrating everything that makes Barrow so special.
Happy 150th Birthday Barrow, here’s to celebrating our past, enjoying our present and looking forward to our future!
