D9 Risk Management

The North Western Synod policy on Risk Management is as follows: 

1          Synods have the responsibility of identifying areas of concern such as, strategic and reputational; financial, compliance, operational and Trust matters which may from time to time prevent the organisation from functioning effectively and at the same time may expose individuals or committees to risk of legal action.   The paper on Risk Management has sought to identify and mitigate such risks.   The matrix document can be found at the rear of this Policy document and shown as appendix “1” sets out the areas of concern and indicates the areas of responsibility.   The advice will continue to be reviewed on a regular basis.
