We share the Amani Centre with our Youth Project, The Hideaway, which began life as an evening meeting place in the cellars of the old Moss Side Baptist Church, which was demolished in 1971. Today the Project is full time, with up to 10 full and part time workers and comprises an Education Project, an Employment Project and a detatched project dealing with drug related issues, as well as more traditional Youth Work activities. Funding comes from a variety of sources and the work of the project is highly regarded in the area.
Trinity Community Church holds morning worship, including Communion, weekly at 10.30am. Two local black led church groups also worship in the building on Sundays.
Trinity Community Church is part of the South West Manchester Group of Baptist and United Reformed Churches. We also have links with churches of other denominations in the Hulme and Moss Side areas and worship bi-monthly with Our Ladys Roman Catholic Church. We play a main role in the partnership, now 11 years old, between Churches Together in Hulme and Moss Side and the St Andreaskirche in Chemnitz, Manchester's partner town in Germany.
